| In 2006 the Yukon Outdoor
Woman Program was one of those experiences that everyone who was involved wants to come back and do it again this year - from organizers to volunteer instructors to participants. "The whole event was great," said Kim Winniky. "I was blown away by how open and willing to share the instructors and our hosts were - it really gave me a great impression of the YFGA and the members that I met. Thanks for offering such an empowering weekend." Tanya Cameron appreciated some of the relaxing aspects, "What a great weekend. Well organized, fabulous food, stimulating, great entertainment and still enough down time to feel like it was a break from the hustle and bustle." For Sandy Skinner, it provided some valuable learning from knowledgeable outdoors people. "I would really recommend it to any women interested in learning or improving their outdoor skills. Thanks for the experience! I had a great time!" |

2007 YOW Program Schedule With a continued focus on skill development and the pure enjoyment associated with hunting, angling and outdoor activities, two YOW events will take place in 2007. During these two three-day training events a wide variety of workshop options will be available, as well as evening events e.g. outdoor fashion show, inspiring talks, campfire stories and camaraderie. |
