Letter from the President

Summer will soon be upon us with the long days and short nights, and I’m very excited to get out and enjoy the outdoors and in a warmer environment.

I think back to earlier this year when I was out on a couple of Bison hunts and how exciting and enjoyable it is to have this opportunity, which got my good friends and me out for a winters camping trip. The option to harvest Bison was defiantly an exceptional bonus, but I can pretty much guarantee that I would not have got out and participated in this type of outdoor experience this year if it wasn’t for the Bison hunt.

I wonder what new opportunities will be made available for us to enjoy. I wonder if our work which we put forth earlier this year will prevail and give us some new and exciting opportunities. Or maybe some old opportunities will be re opened.

I am looking forward to a lot of the projects which are to come; it is always rewarding to see large crowds of people out at these events. It shows us that it is worth while being a board member and it makes me proud to be the President of such an organization which affects so many people in the Yukon.

Remember that the YFGA can always use help. We are always excited to have new people come and help out at the projects. I encourage people to join and expand the Associations membership. It is a great Association but it needs help from many people. If you have any time available, even if it is one evening per month or a few days per year, please contact us and let us know. We could use your help right now!

Thank-you,
Paul Jacobs, President.
